About
Hot Women Campaign
The Hot Women Campaign is run from the UK by the Global Warming Alliance.
Hot Women Campaign is about encouraging and assisting women in particular
to play a more active part in the global warming crisis. We believe that
if people are encouraged to reduce their CO2 output by a moderate amount
and in a voluntary manner they will be more willing to do so. Collectively
even a small percentage reduction could amount exponentially to a significant
decrease in the total CO2 output which is causing rapid climate change.
Other aims of the campaign include:
To promote and reward designers
and manufacturers who produce long-term fashion i.e. products of quality
and style that endure, therefore avoid unnecessary 'junking' of items
on a seasonable basis.
To unite women globally
on this cause by making women aware of the fact that climate change is
a humanitarian concern for the future which is affecting every country
in the world.
To educate main-stream women on the critical
situation facing the planet and the important part they in particular
have to play in demanding more sustainable energy solutions.
'How women act has always made a global
difference. Not only do we make up more than fifty per cent of the world
population but also statistics show that almost all of the consumer items
which emit the most powerful greenhouse gases are decided on or influenced
by the woman in the family. If we can reduce these emissions by even a
small percentage we can buy time to find real solutions to the rapidly
developing crisis which is climate change.
